Los Game Awards de 2024 ya han tenido su lugar, evento donde, aunque a veces se olvide, los galardones son el plato fuerte. En los de este año han habido algunas polémicas, principalmente causadas por la inclusión de un DLC como posible juego del año. Todo eso ha sido olvidado rápidamente cuando se proclamó a Astro Bot como juego del año.
El protagonista de los Game Awards
El entretenido juego plataformas en 3D fue, desde su anuncio, aclamado por los fans, que no solo advertían desde pronto su potencial, sino que celebraban que una empresa como PlayStation volviese a juegos plataformas como en sus orígenes con los clásicos Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Sly Cooper o LittleBigPlanet. El robot al que controlaremos durante la aventura es el mismo que protagonizó el juego que venía con las gafas VR para la PlayStation 4, y es el mismo del juego de prueba de la PlayStation 5, por lo que parece ser que la empresa ha encontrado, por fin, una mascota definitiva. Debido a su fama, no cabía duda que sería un gran protagonista de los Game Awards.

Un gran año para el gaming: perfecto final para Game Awards
Después del apoteósico 2023, con una cantidad de títulos que parecería imposible elegir un único ganador, parecía que este año sería algo más flojo, pero ni mucho menos, y eso se ha podido ver perfectamente en los Game Awards. Este año ha traído consigo grandes juegos, ya sean nuevas IPs o remakes; triple A o indie; soulslike o RPGs. Ahora solo queda esperar qué nos depara el futuro para este 2025, que parece prometedor cuanto menos.
